Auckland Writers Festival

This May event is the ultimate opportunity for writers to mingle with other writers, publishers, booksellers, and readers. The event takes place at Aotea Centre for six days during which there are readings, stand-up poetry, literary theatre, and more.

New Zealand International Film Festival

This July/August event includes a program of 150-170 features from Europe, Australia, and North America. It’s the perfect event for movie buffs, filmmakers, and anyone in the industry.

Farmers Santa Parade

Start the Christmas season in grand style at the Farmers Santa Parade down Queen Street in Auckland. Kids will love seeing the balloons, grand floats, and the special guest, Santa.
